Hello, Wine World 🍷
Not a sommelier—just a guy from Pfalz falling in love with wine. Join my messy, curious journey through tastings, fails, and fun facts.

Welcome to Spill the Wine, Tobi!
This is my very first post - and I’ll be honest, I’m both a little nervous and very excited to finally hit publish.
My name’s Tobias, I’m 23, and I come from the heart of one of Germany’s most beautiful wine regions: the Pfalz, right along the Deutsche Weinstraße. Wine has always kind of been around me - vineyards at every corner, seasonal wine fests, the smell of freshly harvested grapes in the air - but only recently have I started to really see it. Understand it. And most of all: taste it with intention.
This blog is my way of documenting that journey.
I’m not a sommelier. I’m not an expert (yet 😉).
I’m just someone who’s fallen in love with the world of wine and wants to share the ride - from confused sips and “huh, that’s grassy?” moments to the first time I actually understood what “minerality” is.
What You Can Expect
This won’t be one of those stiff, textbook-style wine blogs. Spill the Wine, Tobi is personal, messy, curious, and sometimes a bit too honest. I’ll be writing about:
- Wine tastings and my (hopefully improving) tasting notes
- Facts, tips, and the random things I learn along the way
- Wine regions, grape varieties, trends, and tools
- Stories from winery visits and vineyard wanderings
- Occasional hot takes, questionable food pairings, and wine fails
There’s no strict plan here - just a commitment to explore, learn, and share what I find in a way that’s fun and hopefully a little inspiring.
Why “Spill the Wine”?
Because sometimes, you spill a little wine - and that’s okay.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about experience, discovery, and enjoying the process. Whether you’re a total beginner, a curious drinker, or someone who just likes wine memes and a solid Sauvignon Blanc, I hope you’ll feel at home here.
Pour yourself a glass (or a tea, no pressure), and get ready - because this is just the beginning.
Cheers to new adventures,
Tobi 🍷
